Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Who we are
This policy covers Little Log and any other app published by Lighthouse Apps LLC ("Lighthouse Apps," "we," "us"), a Missouri limited liability company, along with this website. Questions about privacy go to privacy@lighthouseapps.app.
What Little Log stores, and where
When you use Little Log, you may enter information such as contraction times, feedings, bottle amounts, sleep times, diaper changes, notes, and your baby's name and birth date. This information:
- is saved on your iPhone, in storage shared by the app and its widgets, Live Activity and controls;
- is never sent to Lighthouse Apps or to any server we run, and we have no way to access it;
- is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer backups you set up with Apple), which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.
Apart from sharing a log through iCloud, described below, the app works without an internet connection and makes no network requests of its own.
Sharing a log through iCloud
Sharing is optional and off until you turn it on. When you share a log with a partner or another caregiver:
- Where it's kept. The shared log is stored in the iCloud account of the person who started sharing, using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). Each person's phone also keeps a full copy. Apple stores and protects this data under its own terms and privacy policy. Lighthouse Apps can't see it.
- Who can see it. Only the people the log's owner invites, by their Apple account. There's no public link, and only the owner can invite. Everyone on the log sees all of it, including who logged each entry and the name each person entered when they started or joined.
- Leaving. If you leave a shared log, it's removed from your phone. The entries you logged stay in the shared log under your name.
- Stopping sharing. If the owner stops sharing or deletes the log, it's removed from the owner's iCloud. Each person who was on it keeps a private copy, on their own phone, of everything logged up to then. Only invite people you're comfortable keeping that copy.
What we collect
Nothing from your log. Little Log has no Lighthouse Apps account, and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party data-collection code. We don't use your information to track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell or rent it.
If you choose to share diagnostic data with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These don't include anything you've logged.
Purchases
Little Log Plus and Plus codes are bought and redeemed through Apple. Apple handles your payment details, and we never see them. Apple tells the app whether Plus is unlocked, and gives us sales totals that don't identify you.
Reminders
If you turn on feeding reminders, your iPhone schedules them itself. They aren't sent through us or any other server.
When information leaves your phone
Besides iCloud sharing, only when you send it. If you create a visit PDF, a backup file or a spreadsheet (CSV) and share it, for example by email, AirDrop, Messages or Save to Files, it goes wherever you send it, through the app you choose. We never receive a copy. A backup file holds your whole log, so keep it somewhere private.
Links in the Guide open public health websites (such as the AAP, CDC and ACOG) in your browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
If you email us, for example with Settings › Send Feedback, we receive your email address and what you write. The feedback email adds your app version, iOS version and iPhone model so we can look into problems; it includes nothing from your log unless you add it. We use your email only to reply and to improve the app, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
Health information
What you log about pregnancy, labor, feeding and your baby's health is sensitive. Because it stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account, we don't collect, share or sell it, and we don't use it for advertising. If we ever offered a feature that sent this information to us, we would ask for your permission first and update this policy before releasing it. If an unauthorized person ever got access to information we hold about you, we would notify you as the law requires.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings › Delete all data in Little Log to permanently erase everything you've logged. On a shared log, a partner who does this leaves the log, and the owner chooses between stopping sharing and deleting it for everyone, as described above. Deleting the app from your iPhone also deletes its data from that phone. Since we never hold a copy of your log, there's nothing for us to delete on our end.
To ask what we hold about you (usually only emails you've sent us) or to have it deleted, write to privacy@lighthouseapps.app.
Children's privacy
Little Log is made for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. Information about a baby that you enter stays on your devices and in your iCloud account, and is never collected by us.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads no content from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) briefly for security and operations.
Changes to this policy
If we change how an app handles your information, we'll update this policy before that version is released, change the date at the top, and describe the change in the app's release notes.
